The center of the large map depicts an overview of Reno and around it are 24 different views of buildings and scenes including: Truckee River, First National Bank, The Bank of Nevada, McKissick Opera House, Nevada State University, Mt. St. Mary's Academy, Iron Bridge across the Truckee River at Virginia St., Reno High School, Washoe Co. Court House, and more. The Central Pacific Railroad (east and west) runs through the center of town between Commercial Row and Third Street. The Virginia Truckee Railroad branches off the C.P. R. R. going south. The North & Central Railway branches off to the north. The map also has legends at the bottom with more places designated by numbers on the map. Map is a hand colored lithograph by H. S. Crocker & Co. and published by C. C. Powning. Map has been mounted on linen; has a bit of wear, but is truly a great collector's item.
