Lot of 38. Includes 1) wonderful H.F. Galen’s Express cover with a S. F. Buford & Company billhead. Buford was a representative for Galen. Note says “for the horse we sent out on Saturday.” 2) 1887 Buford letterhead on VC & Red Bluff Stage. “Could not find any wagon such as wanted in Bozeman. If sleds will not run through from Bess(?) to Va City now have Dunbar run the light wagon.” Great content. 3) Corner cover stamp and letterhead from Phillip Dodson of Bozeman, marked Stage Business. 4) Billheads and notes from Bozeman City Treasurer, Charles Peck banker in Red Bluff, letter from Charles Race in Norwegian, ranching news, fabulous Meadow Creek post office corner cover and billhead. 5) Some contents include a note from Washington Bar “I have so little change,” Note from Galley Garden, “Went to Maginness...would have closed a bargain there but maginness does not care to lease...”, and one threatens “if rioslett(?) ever comes to this land again I entend to give him 15 minutes notice to get of and will see that he goes regardless of the consequence,” Many other notes that we have not read.
