Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford (America's Sweetheart) both signed this piece of letterhead stationery from the Alaska-Mexico Transportation Company. Since there is no record of the couple traveling to Alaska, it can be assumed they were on the way to Mexico. After some digging, it was determined that they went to Mexico, taking their camera with them. The result was a film that is said to be one-reel (approx. 200 feet) and in Technicolor. It is a candid footage of the famed couple on vacation. It's safe to say this is related to that trip and the first & only time they were filmed in color. Hollywood California Robert Coelln Collection
