Cert. #734, issued to G.A. Webster for 500 shares. Signed by W.A. Stevens as president. The company held six valuable claims near the Nevada Hills in Fairview. Fifteen miles north at Wonder, Nevada, the company's Silver King mine also adjoined the Wonder ledge, which traces into and across the Silver King property. The company also controlled the only water rights in Wonder, which allowed it to control the development of the townsite (San Francisco Call newspaper, Oct. 8, 1906). The Wonder mine had a specactular rise in value after being purchased for $75,000 by a few prospectors. A 90' tunnel to cut the ledge was cut, a winze was dropped about 80' along the ledge. Silver and gold were found throughout averaging from $100 to $2000 per ton. The mine sold a few weeks later for $300,000! Our company was adjacent to this in addition to holding the water rights for the town. When news came out that the company held the water rights, the stock shot up from 20 to 50 cents. The certificate is VF with the usual fold lines. Uncancelled. City: Fairview State: Nevada Date: HWAC# 51236
