Lot of 5 documents. Includes: 1) 1898 Carson City check charged to William M. Stewart plus an 1886 bullion purchase slip by Stewart. Stewart was a prominent mining lawyer in the early days of the Comstock Lode and then went on to be a Nevada senator from 1865-1875. 2) Montana-Tonopah Mining Co. letterhead dated Jan. 8th, 1905 and addressed to Mr. Geo. Wingfield. George Wingfield made his fortune in Tonopah and Goldfield before dominating the Nevada banking industry. 3) Bank of Nevada Interest Statement for Theo. Winters, 1891. Winters was an early arrival to Nevada and was a prominent land owner (Winters Ranch) and unsuccessful candidate for governor. 4) 1889 Bullion & Exchange Bank memo to Richard Kirman from Richard Kirman. Kirman was a wealth banker and the father to the future 17th governor of Nevada. 5) State Bank & Trust Co. (Tonopah, 1906) slip to Vail Pittman.
