The Bank Club was the second casino to be licensed when gambling was legalized in 1931. The owners were Bill Graham and James McKay. These two were under investigation for laundering mob money from Chicago. The witness against them mysteriously disappeared before he could testify. Baby Face Nelson, who had been in town, left that same day. Graham and McKay eventually were found guilty of mail fraud and served time in Leavenworth. But at the same time it was 'the' place to be. They had "The classiest bar this side of the Waldorf-Astoria" estimated to cost about $30,000. Graham & McKay were also the owners of the Stockade and at 2:00 a. m. the "girls" would wander on over where they always attracted a crown. The tray is 15 x 10.5". This tray has been professionally restored. There are a couple of small dents on the back. One shows through to the front. Also included is a 3.75" Bank Club Whiskey (?) glass and a Bank Club church key / stirring spoon. With this set you are ready to enjoy your afternoon tea! City: Reno State: Nevada Date: HWAC# 50873
