Pas No. 393, issued for 1885 to T.C. Power, president and manager of Fort Benton Transportation Company. Signed by H.E. Sargent as president. Printed on cardstock by Argus Lith. Co., Fargo. Soiling and creases around edges, corner. Thomas C. Power ran a military and Indian trading business at Fort Benton, Montana, as well as the Transportation Co. which operated steamboats on the Missouri River. He served as a US Senator for Montana 1890-95. The Fargo & Southern Railway was formed in 1881 to connect Fargo with the Milwaukee Road in Ortonville, Minnesota. The rail began operations in 1884.
