Print/autographed by Roy Grinnel. Intermittent dense clouds and strong winds had curtailed most flying between the Meuse and Moselle on 31 May, 1918. Nevertheless, Lt. Douglas Campbell and Lt. Eastman, of the 94th Aero Squadron, managed to get airborne in their Nieuport 28s. Fifth Victory" is hand signed by WW1 Ace Lt. Douglas Campbell, 94th Aero Squadron. This image depicts Lt. Campbell's fifth victory on May 31, 1918 over Lironville, France when he reached Ace status. In all, he had 6 victories. Unmounted and excellent condition.
