This amazing archive has done all of the historical work for you. 1) Stock Certificate #2470 for 100 shares to E. P. Buress on October 21, 1879. (Burgess also invested in California mining stocks.) Signed by secretary James and president DU Brody. No edge issues, pinholes, discoloration, rips or tears. Very fine! Vignette of a mill running on water power. 2) Twenty-two glossy photographs. Some were taken in the near past and show the mine and mill as it is today. Some are reprints from various sources of the historic mine. 3) Two stereoviews of the Findley Gold Mine on Yahoola Creek. One shows the rugged landscape and one shows the flood at the Findley mine. One is from Schaub of Atlanta and the other seems to be homemade. Low contrast. 4) Here is a beaut! A 4 x 5.5" original cabinet card. Shows a man in front of the wreckage of the Findley Mine???. 5) Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper one page showing the workings of the Findley mining company. 1880. 6) Articles on the history, of the mine and people including Colonel Findley.
