Very scarce Nevada assay document. Memorandum of Bullion Deposited at the Assay Office of the First National Bank of Nevada on Oct. 23rd, 1866 by the Camargo Silver Mining Company in Austin, Nevada. Two samples created from one 1549 ounce deposit. One was .808 fineness silver, the other .756 fineness. No gold fineness noted. Total value $1,455.58. Signed by J.R. Murphy as assayer. Other handwritten notations on front and back. 7.75" x 10" Folds with stains and one portion missing bottom left. According to Nevada's Metal and Mineral Production (UNR, 1943), the Camargo Mine was in production 1866-1871 and produced 160 tons valued at $13,396. Date: Location: Austin, Nevada HWAC# 50943
