First National Bank of Tucson bank check #1598 dated Dec. 5th 1882 for $11.88 payable to Michailitschki Bros. Black on yellow. Nice vignette of three miners examining ore. Signed by B. M. Jacobs, Cashier. RN-G1 imprinted revenue. P. K. Tully was President and the bank had a branch in Tombstone. Also printed on the check is "to Pacific Bank, San Francisco, Cal., which is listed as one of its correspondent banks. [City Directory, Tucson 1881] Very Fine. Lionel and Barron M. Jacobs arrived in Tucson in 1867 to open a general store. In 1879, they established the Pima County Bank in Tucson with Barron Jacobs as cashier. Pima County Bank became the First National Bank of Tucson in 1882. Sold by Jacobs brothers, 1890. One page history included.
