Rare. Framed and matted. Inc. in Nevada. No. 10. Issued for 18 shares to M.H. Walker on June 10, 1905. Signed by Chris Brown (president) and John S. Park (cashier). No vignette. Gold corporate seal. Ornate border. Printed by Los Angeles Litho. Co. Toning (or glue leftover?) on left side and folds. The First State Bank, originally a wood structure, was located at the corner of First and Fremont Streets. This Las Vegas branch of the statewide banking system was integral in the growth of Las Vegas. Park was an early Vegas pioneer. Brown was also manager of the Las Vegas Improvement Co., which sold plots early on. This stock is a direct connection to the beginning of Las Vegas.
