5 Colorado City, Colorado hutches, all different variants according to Preble.
1.) S41 COLORADO CITY BOTTLING WORKS STOCKBRIDGE with round, almost oval slug plate. Light aqua in color and a slight haze in appearance. Marked 16 on the base. Dates c. 1884-89 & possibly made by Denver Glass Works, according to Preble. Barely noticeable lip chips, with mild scratching down the shoulders and on the reverse. Mild wear around the base. A dirty mark with possible chipping on the brink of happening on the inner lip. Metal piece in bottom of the bottle.
2 ) An unlisted variant similar to S42. COLORADO CITY BOTTLING WORKS with headstone slug plate. Very hazy in appearance, and aqua in color. Condition is worn & has dirt staining & lip chips. Minor chips, dirt marks and smudges on the outside of the body of the bottle. Possibly can polish up a bit. Base is marked C. C. G. Co. & a rusted metal piece rests at the bottom of the bottle. c. 1890.
3.) S43 GEO. M. DEHN & CO. with an applied top that has dirt within the neck & imperfections in the glass down the lip into the neck. Aqua in color with a light haze in appearance. Unmarked base with nicks and imperfections in the glass. Base has dirt on the inside. Reverse has a semi circle stain that adds character. The metal piece sits at top. Dates c. 1889.
4.) S44a PIKE'S PEAK headstone slug plate in aqua with nice clarity and pinprick bubbling that doesn't deviate from the appearance of awesomeness. The base is unmarked & shows some signs of wear & a bit of a haze. Minor lip chips and imperfections around the lip. Dates c. 1889-93.
5.) S45 THE WAGNER-STOCKBRIDGE M & D. CO. aqua in color with light haze, yet still very unique appearance with bubbling in the glass itself. The wiped top has imperfections within the glass, striations down the neck and pinprick bubbling. Very tiny spots of dirt at neck & shoulders. Marked 20 on the base & dates c. 1898-1900.
