"Received from Rhodes & Lusk Five Hundred Dollars on account." Oval 'PAID' stamp. 4) 1853 Shasta. Transport 253 pounds of hay. 5) Rhodes & Lusk bought one male mule for $95. October 31, 1852. Rhodes and Lusk's Express operated from 1852 to 1854 and conveyed "treasure, letters and other packages" from San Francisco in the south, to Jacksonville, Oregon Territory in the north.
