1) Two teaspoons: die struck bowl, w/ 5 miners underground, standing miner handle. 2) Die struck bowl, w/ 5 miners underground, donkey and tools. 3) Die struck bowl, single miner underground, very decorative handle--miner lowering bucket. 4) Die struck bowl, bucket lowered to 3 miners, 2 miners at winch at top of spoon, back of handle engraved Denver. This is an important spoon, marked with Bohm's name on the back, the same Denver Jeweler that made the Otto Mears spoons. This spoon has the same die struck pattern, but with a light gold wash bowl. It weighs significantly less that the two known Otto Mears/Bohm spoons in this sale at 30.7 grams compared to 33.7 and 34.7 grams. It also has the Bohm marking in a different place on the handle, far toward the top, and nearly obscured. We thus are of the opinion it is a Mears spoon made at a later date that the first group of 1891/1892 spoons. City: State: United States Date: ID# 37840
