2 first edition copies of 'For Whom The Bell Tolls' by Ernest Hemingway, an American classic that requires no introduction. Published 1940 by Charles Scribner's Sons of New York. Includes one damaged dust jacket; the jacket has torn at creases and is now in several pieces, but each panel is intact and present. One copy is in great condition with very light toning and some foxing on the inner cover; one copy is in good condition with slightly more discoloration of cover/pages. Both have Both bound in the original publisher's tan cloth with red spine label. A truly excellent piece of literary history; see photos.
