Five ledgers and loose ledger pages from the Ford Building in Great Falls, Montana.
A) Ledger of the Ford Building for 1915-16. This ledger has records of monthly operation expenses of the Ford Building including heating, plumbing, lighting, janitorial, and general repairs. This ledger also gives information about rental income for each month. 16 x 10.5, good condition, some damage to the spine.
B) Ford Building Cash Book from 1916-23. Contains records of the monthly rent payments made by companies renting offices within the Ford Building. The rent prices generally range from 25 to 500 dollars. Some companies that were renting office space include the Great Falls National Bank, Northern Realty Company, and Royal Milling Company. 14.25 x 15.5, approx. 300 pages, good condition.
C) Ford Building Voucher Register from 1916-1923. Contains records of the Ford Building's accounts payable. These include payments to the Great Falls Gas Company and the Montana Power Company. This register also lists the Ford Brothers' salaries and wages paid to the janitors, elevator boys, and engineers. 14.25 x 17.25, approx. 200 pages, good condition.
D) Ford Building Cash Book from 1914-15. Contains a record of salaries and other expenses paid by the Ford Building. These expenses include heating, janitorial, lighting, plumbing, etc. Also includes many payments to the Rainbow Hotel which was located across the street from the Ford Building.14 x 8.5, approx. 100 pages, good condition.
E) Ford Building ledger from 1914. Includes records of stock accounts, bills receivable, automobile expenses, salaries, income, personal expenses, repairs, and various other building maintenance expenses. 14 x 8.5, approx. 200 pages, good condition.
F) Several hundred loose ledger pages from multiple businesses that probably had some office spaces in the Ford Building. These businesses are from all over Montana and include mining companies, general stores, etc. 16 x 8. good condition, no binding.
