Fort Reno was located in the Cheyenne Arapaho lands in Indian Territory. It was established in 1875 after the Cheyenne uprising of 1874. Post office was open from 1877 to 1907. Lot of four. 1) 1883 postmark. Registered mail. Sc207 and Sc209 stamps. 2) Three Sc207 stamps. This postmark was used between 1881 and 1886. 3) Evans Bros., advertising corner. c1889. 4) 1894 with two one cent Columbian Exposition stamps. Two letters are included dated September 1893 and April 1894 (includes, "he fired on me two or three times but did not hit me") What other interesting content awaits the owner?
