Although a later cert, this is from quite a historic location. Fort Schellbourne, formerly known as Camp Schell and as Schell Creek Station is 43 miles north of Ely, Nevada. The location was once a Shoshone Indian village. It became an Overland Stage and Mail stop in 1859, and a Pony Express station in 1860. The Overland Telegraph came through in 1861. It was briefly known as Fort Schellbourne in 1862 when a small contingent of troops camped here to counter Indian harassment of the stages and mails. Number 121 for 5000 shares to Harry Elliott. Signed by the FW & EH Snyder. The company owned seven unpatented claims which assayed gold $1 per ton and 12 ounces of silver per ton in the Schellbourne Mining District. Detailed information on the mine and location are included.
