Lot of 4 different.1) Two CDVs of General Ben. Butler. One is of a sketch, the other is real photo. Butler was a lawyer and Mass. legislator who occupied New Orleans and was the military governor of Louisiana. He was Commander of of the Army of the James. He resigned in 1865, became a congressman, governor of Mass. and was elected to the House of Rep. He had a leadership role in the impeachment of President Andrew Johnson. 2) CDV photo of sketch of Major General James McPherson. He joined the army in 1853, was commander of the army of Tennessee, and was killed in action at Atlanta on July 22, 1864. 3) CDV photo of sketch of Col. Edward D. Baker. He was the only sitting US senator to be killed during the Civil War. Lawyer and friend of Lincoln, Baker was killed at Balls Bluff, Virginia in OCt. 1861.
