Lot of four. 1) Clifford Mining Company #255 for 1250 shares in 1906. Signed by secretary Shannon and president Elftman. Clifford was discovered in 1905 by John Peavine - an Indian. 35 miles east of Tonopah. 2) California Nevada Gold Mining Company #167 for 2000 shares in 1905. Signed by president Thomas Arden and Secretary (?). According to the "Mining Reporter, Volume 51" this was located in Esmeralda County in the Funeral Range fifteen miles south of the camp of Bullfrog (Tonopah as it would be later known). 3) Hidden Treasure Gold and Silver Mining Company #92 for 1000 shares in 1903. Very early! Signed by secretary Frank Davis and vice president AA Stanton. These first three stock certificates were all issued to Louis Kleinhaus. 4) Mizpah Extension Company of Tonopah #1388 for 1000 shares to John F Braun in 1903. Signed by secretary Charles E Knox and president JH Jenkins. Knox would go on to become the president of the Montana Tonopah Mining Company.
