Four interesting Nye County Covers. 1) Marble. 1909. R-5. Very nice strike on reverse of envelope. Doane 1. Includes a history of Marble. Cover sent to Kirkpatrick from Illinois. Two JS Cain/Kirkpatrick Aurora unrelated contents including an Aurora Store billhead with payroll from Kirkpatrick to Cain for the O. K. and Grand Trunk Mining companies. 2) Johnnie. Doane. 1906. R-4. Very weak strike. Postal. Nice history of Johnnie. Interesting story of Walter, Allen & Mina Jones. Mina signed the registered package receipt. Walter the husband ran the hotel, Mina the wife was the postmistress, and Allen the brother drove the stage to Armargosa. 3) R-5. 1904. Good strike. cc of the Nye & Ormsby Bank / Butler, Nye Co., NV, Letter has some interesting content (Butler, which would be renamed Tonopah, not so bad as Austin for entertainment, already attended public dance, generally there is something doing in the Opera House every night). 4) Pahrump. R-5. 1935. Nearly perfect strike. Great story of Joe Hudson – and the vigilante justice by a Native American. City:Marble, Nye Co. State:Nevada Date:1904-1935
