These six mining stocks were a part of Nelson A. "Buz" Rieger's exhibition "Rush to the Rockies," curated by Nora Slifer. A 30 year accumulation of Colorado's early paper memorabilia focused on Colorado's first artists, their artwork in newspapers, landscape printing and engraving, early railroad, homesteading, & guide book illustrations. This grouping contains: 1. 2 of the New Mexico Mining Co., issued in late 1853 & 1867, operating in N.M. 2. Massachusetts & New Mexico Consolidated Mining Co., 1881. 3. Carbonate Hill Consolidated Mining Co., 1882 likely located in Leadville. 4. Iowa & Colorado Consolidated Mining Co., 1883, Rare piece with mines located in Rio Grande County. Owned the Golden Vault claim along with 10 placer claims located in South Mountain, Summit District, near Summitville. 5. The Ontario and Cliff Mining Co., 1891. Rare, and operated in CO.
