In 1973, The Franklin Mint issued a four-volume set of forty 39mm encapsulated 999-Silver rounds. Each of the four volumes included ten coin-medals mounted in a picture-frame-style presentation display with a dark, walnut-colored frame and a blue leatherette-style matte surrounding the ten encapsulated coin medals. Each frame slides into a matching dark blue leatherette slip case with a silver-foil-embossed kachina figure on the front. The back of each frame is also displayable and bears the silver-foil-embossed title “OFFICIAL COIN-MEDALS OF INDIAN TRIBAL NATIONS” with “LIMITED EDITION / PROOF QUALITY / .999 FINE SILVER / MINTED BY THE FRANKLIN MINT” below that in smaller type.

Each coin medal in this collection honors the history, culture, and people of the Native American tribe it represents and was designed with close cooperation of the appropriate tribal leaders. These 39mm coin-medals each weigh 25.4 grams and are edge-marked with their metal content, date, serial number, and a maker's mark.

Each set of 10-medal sets contains 8.16 Troy ounces of pure silver. All are bright and shiny without evidence of tarnish or toning.

This lot is for VOLUME 4 which includes:
Chickasaw, Choctaw, Cocopah, Creek-Muscogee, Kalispel, Mandan - Arikara – Hidatsa, Mescalero Apache, Oneida, Seminole, and Sequoyah tribes.

This comes from the liquidation of Northwest Territorial Mint.
