Hartenstein worked in Michael Price's workshop in 1867. Price was a major competitor to Will & Finck. From 1870-76, Hartenstein made cutlery to be sold by Price. In 1876, he closed the cutlery business and opened a saloon. Approx. 13 inches long tip to base. Marked Hartenstein, San-Fran. on blade. Nice condition.
