This shotgun/rifle combination gun has 18.5 in. barrels 12ga./.30 cal. It has European folding leaf rear sights. The locks are back action marked Fremont Arms Co. This was one of their Belgium imports with proofing marks on the underside of the barrels. The forearm fits perfectly with one side fitting the 12 ga. barrel while the other at .30 cal. rifle barrel. The trigger guard is tastefully engraved "Wells Fargo & Co.1890" and appears to have been hand applied. Not to be confused with the counterfeits of today;(there is no way to confirm WF & C provenance). The action is still on-face and tight. One rebounding hammer is a replacement. The gun has "best rolled steel" marked on the center rib, barrels are not Damascus. The bores are good but need cleaning. C.1880's. This gun is an antique and no attempt has been made to fire this gun to confirm its mechanical integrity. Nor should this gun be fired without the examination by a qualified gunsmith. Any attempt to fire an antique is at the risk of the owner and not consistent with the value of the firearm. No sales to New York City, New Jersey, California, and Hawaii. No FFL required.
