Pinholes, folds, creases. 5.25 x 9.5" According to a prospectus for the company printed in The Vancouver Times (Nov. 5, 1864), the company worked two seams of high quality coal located on the southern shore of the Straits of Fuca, about 20 miles inside of Cape Flattery. The cliff with the deposit runs from Clallum Bay to Pillar Point. The company owns 1,760 acres, including the whole of the land around Clallum Bay (about 600 acres) plus 1,200 acres of level land that will be the coal field. They have erected 13 buildings, a jetty for loading vessels, and a large coal stage. Several hundreds of tons of coal have already been taken out.
