Cert. #1254. Death Valley mining stock. Incorporated in Arizona in 1906. Attractive certificate printed by Utah Lithographing Co., S.L.C. Issued to Thomas Paynter for 300 shares. Signed by Glen D. Payne as 3rd Vice President and R.B. Cradlebaugh as secretary. The company held 120 acres including the Anxiety and Copper Shoe groups at Greenwater. Selected ore samples assayed 5 to 30% copper. Peculiar promotion methods used by Shanghai Larry Sullivan were the norm for Greenwater (1908 Copper Handbook).
