Heavy duty dark brown leather chaps by Al Furstnow of Miles City, Montana. Punch in rectangular block inside belt, left side. Ten inch fringe of outside edge on both sides. Furstnow started his own business in Miles City in 1894, after working for JS Collins in Omaha in 1885, then two saddle makers in Miles city before 1894. The partnership lasted to 1899, when Furstnow and Coggshall split up, each forming separate companies.
