Charles Crocker (Sept. 16, 1822 – Aug. 14, 1888) an American railroad executive who was one of the founders of the Central Pacific Railroad, which constructed westernmost portion of the 1st transcontinental railroad. Took control with partners of the Southern Pacific Railroad. In 1861, he was one of the 4 investors including Mark Hopkins, Collis Huntington and Leland Stanford, who formed the Central Pacific Railroad, which constructed the western portion of the 1st Transcontinental Railroad in North America.
