Large museum quality specimen of the much treasured gemstone Lapis Lazuli from Afganistan. 6"x 9.5" banded and solid blue with pyrite. Portions of this specimen could easily be cut and made into premium jewelry. The dark blue of the Lapis has been attractive to mankind for thousands of years, with gems in jewelry dating back before the time of the Pharohs. About ten pounds.
