This is a collection of dozens of various gemstones, most likely take outs from old jewelry that was melted down for the metal value. Labels on the poly bags indicate some efforts have been made to test the hardness, be we cannot attest to the composition of most of these stones. There are some very nice colored stones in various shapes, colors, and cuts that do look like emeralds, rubies, and sapphires, as well as ones known to be tiger eye, rhodonite, citrine, and amethyst. There is a bag of probable cubic zirconia, clear and bright in color varying from more that a carat to very tiny. There are some polished opals that appear to be natural along with a few synthetic opals that are quite flashy and beautiful. Most stones in this collection are less than a carat in weight, but it is and extensive set of , and you're sure to find many to like. As a bonus, this lot includes two pieces of muscovite mica (largest is 6 inches long) and a 2-1/2-inch tall dolphin sculpture that will serve to display a polished mineral sphere up to several inches in diameter.
