Rare territorial we have not sold before! "Location, Gold Hill District, N.T." printed at top center. Located June 16th, 1860. Inc. June 1863. No. 78, issued for 20 shares to S. Brewster in Virginia City in 1863. Signed by president C. DeLong and secretary GA King. Not cancelled. Union Print. Red and black text, green background, and allegorical vignette. Folds. 4 x 9.25" We were not able to find much about this company, as is common for territorials, but we did find a July 16th, 1864, Daily California Express article that mention the shaft of this mine was on fire, with no deaths reported. DeLong is listed in Collins directory as a VC attorney. GA King is listed as a clerk in the district court.
