Survey date, May 31, 1832, 160 acre lot in the 22nd District, 2nd section, Cherokee County, Lot 301. The 3rd class lot with oak and hickory (O & H) was awarded to William B. Parker. The survey is signed by J. M. Compton, the Surveyor General and by the Georgia Governor George Crawford boldly along the bottom fold. The deed document, under the survey, is dated February 1846, and is signed by Anderson. Parker was then living in Bibb County, possibly in Macon. The seal medallion is quite dark, though very legible. The seal has caused the usual strong brown foxing in the shape of the medallion on the survey document. This lot appears to be located near Scudders in Forsythe County. (Al Adams Gold Rush Memorabilia Collection) Date: 1832 Location: Cherokee County, Georgia HWAC# 57028
