Lot 301 surveyed July 6, 1832 for a 160 acre lot in the 17th district, First section, Cherokee County. Today in northeastern Lumpkin County. Two creeks flow one these 40 acres. Trees include red oak, pine, and chestnut. Possible that the creeks represent placer gold. The document is signed by Georgia Governor George Crawford in 1846, per the deed on the second page. Medallion attached at bottom by pink ribbon. The documents are particularly fine with minimal discoloration from the medallion imprint. This property is located north of the Chestatee River.
