Albert Kuner designed and engraved medal for the German Peace Celebration for the end of the Franco-Prussian War. The San Francisco German community timed the celebration to coincide with Emperor William I of Prussia’s 74th birthday. 1) Silver examples were sold at the event for one dollar. 30mm. Silver. EF holed; 2) Looped white metal examples were sold at the event for 25 cents. 30mm. WM. Unc with pestering.
