Reproductions of four posters originally produced during 1939-40. All four have the armored division theme. They are "SS Panzer- Kampf der Giganten", "Der Sturmangriff!!!", "5 SS Panzer division "Wiking" Gerade Du! and "Gott Mit Uns!". These roughly translate to SS Panzer, Battle of the Giants; The Storm Attack, 5 SS Panzer Division- Just You, and God With Us. 10 SS Panzer Division tank division Frundsberg. There is a tear in SS Panzer- Kampf der Giganten with a tape repair on the back. All measure 23" X 33". Please inspect for condition. [UPDATE: Under high magnification, we have discovered these posters have a stochastic (randomized) CMYK ink dot pattern that was not invented until the nineteen-seventies and was not widely used until the advent of high-quality inkjet printers some years later. The original WWII-era posters were probably printed as serigraphs with smooth color gradations and no half-toning. Someone more recently has scanned them at high resolution and reproduced them using modern, large-format inkjet equipment. The dead giveaway is that even the “faded” margins of the paper (where there should not be any ink) have a stochastic CMYK dot pattern that recreates the appearance of worn, faded paper. Nevertheless, these reproductions still have an artistic, educational, and historical value in representing the type of propaganda widely used during WWII.]
