Five very rare issues of Knott's Berry Farm founder Walter Knott's "Western Magazine from Ghost Town Village. Published at Knott's Berry Place in Buena Park, the magazines are full of ghost town stories. Dates are: June 1945, October 1945, March 1946, June, 1946, July 1946.
The Knott's Berry Farm in Orange County, California, originated from a berry farm owned by Walter Knott (1889–1981). In the 1920s, Knott and his wife, Cordelia, sold berries, berry preserves and pies from a roadside stand beside State Route 39, near the small town of Buena Park. Walt began building a ghost town in 1940, using buildings relocated from real old west towns such as Prescott, Arizona.
