Red hardbound cover, gilt engraved lettering within ornamental wreath on front cover, published by Charles Scribner's Sons and R.H. Russell, 1906, each illustration copyrighted 1900 - 1905 by Life Publishing or Collier's Weekly or Charles Scribner's Sons. Cover dimensions: 17" x 11 1/2". Unpaginated, +/- 300 pp, one illustration/page, all pages gilt edged, all b&w prints of Gibson's pen-and-ink drawings, title page torn away from binding, rest of pages intact, cover pulling away at spine, slight browning, no pages torn. Note: Charles Dana Gibson (1867 - 1944) was a famous American illustrator best known for his pen-and-ink "Gibson Girl" sketches inspired by his wife and four sisters.
