Location: Reveille Mining District, Nye County, Nevada (printed under title). Incorporated January 23, 1875. #4952 issued for 25 shares to Lewis T. Haggin on December 24, 1875 in San Francisco. Signed by president Arthur Hawkins and secretary W. Knapp. Not cancelled. Black border and print. Mine hoisting vignette. Pinholes, folds. The Gila was the kingpin of the Reveille Mining District with a production of $531,315 compared to the second best producer at $20,482. The claim of this company embraced several locations, aggregating 100,000 feet, has been but partially prospected, but that little brought to light large bodies of milling ore, which return average assays of $100. Assays have been made high as $600. The mine is in a prosperous condition and work is pushed rapidly.
