1) c1925 panorama showing Gilbert townsite location in the far distance. Also identified on the map is the Last Hope, Black Mammoth with Gold on Surface and road to Tonopah. A Franks photo. On a double post card without any folds. Nice contrast! 2) Date identified on back as May 1, 1925. Postcard sized photograph of Charles Hendel and Harry Henry as identified in pencil on back. Includes a Gilbert history. On the north side of the Monte Cristo range two brothers thought about giving up, but put in one last try called the Last Hope and hit high grade ore in 1924. The town boomed to a population of 400, but by 1929 the population was drastically diminishing and by 1931 the town was a ghost.
