"The citizens of Glenbrook, Lake Tahoe, were startled yesterday morning by an awful roaring which made the earth tremble….It was found that Cave Rock, which was over 300 feet above the level of lake, had toppled over into the lake." This photograph shows the aftermath of the giant wave that hit the shores of Glenbrook. There are large amounts of debris and even a washed-up boat scattered about on the shores. There is no photographer identified. The matt measures 8.5" x 5.25" while the photograph measures 7.80" x 4.75" The photograph has some wear on the upper left side and some fading.
