4 Glenwood Springs, Colorado hutch bottles. As identified by Preble, their descriptions are as follows:
1.) E.S. HUGHES , S183. Aqua & dates c.1892-99. Measures 6 1/4 inches tall. Some dirt and haze with unique swirl marks around the bottle & dark spots inside, along with rough spot above the slug plate. Base has a chip 1/4 of an inch in diameter. Base marked G. C. G. Co. There is a bit of bubbling in the glass at body and lip. Would probably benefit from a polishing.
2.) E.D.S. HUGHES ,S185. Purple & dates c.1903-08. Measures 6 1/2 inches tall. Nice clarity with minor scratch marks across the shoulder at front. Slight haze on inside and minor bubbling in glass throughout body. Squish marks around the shoulders below the wiped top. Bottom marked with the oval with a line through it marking. A scratch & pinprick bubbling at lip. Base shows a smidge of wear and has one small white scratch mark.
3.) ED S HUGHES, unlisted color of aqua with blue lettering at slug plate label. Unmarked base with some white dings. Bottle has a nice clarity to it with pinprick bubbling in the glass & the metal piece is still inside the lip. At front shoulder there is a triangular bubble and within the lip there are what look like squish marks. Lip has some dark pinprick dings.
4.) ED. S. HUGHES/GLENWOOD/1910/SPRINGS/COLORADO. Purple & measures 6 1/2 inches tall. Dates c.1910 per Preble,S187 with an unmarked base. Slight interior haze which may come clean. Only a few tiny nicks on base. A couple dirt spots at lip. Minor case wear, which includes a small nick on front below slug plate. White lettering on slug plate. Exterior haze may be polished.
