What a great name for a mining camp saloon! Dateline Central City, Colo., June 24th, 1916. Bart Parteli, Proprietor. Dealer in Fine Imported Wines and Liquors, Imported and Domestic Cigars. Main Street. Billed to P. Anderle. 8.5 x 5.25" Folds, soiling, piece of paper attached to front. This famous Central City saloon was built in 1897. The Gilpin Observer (October 1906) mentions that JH Bensel has sold his interest in the Gold Coin to his partner, Bart Parteli. He operated it until Prohibition. The Gold Coin is now part of the Easy Street Casino.
