Lot of 6 documents attached to each other. Includes 3 Gold Hill Assay Office memorandums and 3 Carson City Mint Silver Bullion memorandums. The bullion was assayed for the Justice Co. in July 1890. Six bullion bars were produced, ranging in size from 900 to 2,000 ounces each .920-.933 silver fineness. Nearly 10,000 ounces total. Corresponding Carson City Mint forms are for deposits of this bullion by CH Peters, GC Byron, and one other--likely the owners of the Justice Mine which was located in Silver City one mile NW of Devils Gate, staked in 1859. All CC Mint forms signed by LL Elrod for the superintendent. The CC Mint had stopped production from 1885-October 1889. In 1890, the CC Mint produced 2,309,041 Morgan dollars. This is a great group highlighting the journey from Comstock mine to Carson City Mint coin press.
