Lot of 2 documents attached together. Top document is a Memorandum of Bullion Deposited for Assay at the Gold Hill Assay Office by the Justice Mine (Silver City) in Dec. 1889. Two bullion bars, over 3,000 ounces, .949 silver fineness. Signed by assayer WS James. This is attached to a Memorandum of Silver Bullion Purchased at the Mint of the United States at Carson, Nevada. On the account of the B&E Bank. Purple print, signed by Allen Bragg for superintendent. 5.5 x 11" This was just after the Carson City Mint resumed operations (on hiatus from 1885-late 1889), which is why 1889 CC Morgans are so sought after.
