Lot of 4. 1) 1881 Commencement Program for the Gold Hill High School, held at the Miners' Union Hall. The school had a great motto: "Mind: Earth's Richest Mine." List 8 graduates. Soiling. Panels are separated but could easily be repaired with archival tape. 2) 1903 three page handwritten Certificate of Location for a mining claim located in the Gold Hill Mining District, Storey County, Nevada. The claim is named the Homestake Mining Claim on the Homestake Ledge, and is a relocation of the Santa Rosa Mining Claim. The claim was located by sinking a 10 foot deep shaft into the ledge. Signed by Thomas P. Lynch, whose name appears in Gold Hill and Silver City post-1900 mining. After the claim, there are two additional handwritten pages showing assay results/ ore milled and bullion yielded dating back to 1901 up to 1918. Pages are folded and toned. 3)c.1860s Nevada Territory receipt for the Granite Banking House of Palmer & Day. Dateline Gold Hill, N.T. Unused, as is normal for these.
