An antique cast iron gold ingot mold. Handle is marked "E. G. Blakslee & Co." Measures just over 14" long (including handle) x 5' wide x 1.75" deep. It weighs about 10 pounds. Surface rust only. No cracks or damage to cast iron. Ebenezer G. Blakslee was the founder of Monitor Iron Works and his company, known as E. G. Blakslee & Co., iron, was listed in New York city directories from 1867 until 1892. The foundry in Sing Sing dates from around the same time. [] [New York] [] [] []
