Gold mold by John Taylor and Company of San Francisco, embossed J. T. & Co. 107 ounce silver mold as shown in the embossed writing. No mine name in the bottom. 6 inches long, 4 inches wide, 2 1/2 inches tall plus handles. Cast-iron, circa 1880 to 1900. This is the type of silver mold that would've been used in a small silver mine where production was relatively limited from high-grade ores and a smaller ore deposit. It would've been from perhaps a small silver mine in one of the major silver districts in the West. (Al Adams Gold Rush Memorabilia Collection) Date: Location: San Francisco, California HWAC# 56366
