Inc. in Connecticut. No. 3734, issued for 100 shares to UH Brokaw in 1881. Signed by the president (?) and secretary, D. Hall. Great hydraulic mining vignette. Excellent condition minus left border tear and discoloration. Printed by Globe Stationery & Printing Co., NY. Rare!! Probably was located in Summitville area. At the time of issuance, the largest operation was the Little Annie (Eberhart). There is a discrepancy of where this company was. The Little Amie was the biggest mine in the district. San Juan Consol. Was also located at Summitville. [Ref: Eberhart]. The Gold Placer Mining Company was in Pitkin County, Colorado in the Alma Mining District. Claims in this area included the Alma, Pease and Sidell Placers. (Ref: Fred Holabird) Prag Collection City: Summitville District State: Colorado Date: 1881 HWAC# 80424
